Ken & Joy Schroder

Ken's camping career started as a Boy Scout. He had been a camper, counselor, and camp director. A veteran of World War II and graduate of Oberlin College, Mr. Schroder was a science teacher at The George School in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, for 34 years.

As a biologist and a teacher, Mr. Schroder found camping to be the ideal avocation. His wife Joy, a graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and a camp counselor for many years, co-directed the camp from 1966 through its final season in 1985.
